As you can tell by the picture to the left, it's been a pretty good summer. (The picture was on the invitation for our Cowboy & Indian Party, and I think that I pretty well sums up the glory of this summer). When I started creating this here post, I promise that I had a rhyme and a reason to the order to these pictures...but that kind of died with my ameteur blogging skills. Anyway, come along with me and I will take you on a pictographic journey through this summer. (ok, i realize that that was a little too Mr. Rogers-esque).
Mary and Vivian and Suzanne's Birthdays. We celebrated in the form of a Cowboy and Indian Party.
Highlights:
Mary's homemade papoose, made out of my cat blankie. Mary taking out the birthday candles with a watergun she stole from the cowboys. Also, I really like Monica's homemade arrow (featured on the left).
Event: Pudding FightHighlights: It started out as a finger painting activity, however Becky and I changed that real quick.
Event: Tea PartyHighlights: Mary reciting a poem, aka, Little Miss Muffet. Everyone's British accents, which translates to Mary changing her accent every 10 seconds. Mary's idea of British exclamations that she randomly shouted every so often (for example: Merlin's Beard everyone! and Scadoodle!)
Event: Disco SkatingHighlights: Mary's golden, velvet pantsuit. Taylor's women's shirt that had darts in it --unbeknownst to him. Also, my Hawaiian shorts that I got at DI and now wear all the time--not in public-- oh and did I mention that they are definitely homemade, girls camp style.

This one's going down in the books for sure... or at least on our picture board in our room.
Event: FHE scavenger huntHighlights: Me and Becky serenading efy kids with a little Brittney Spears. Mary terrifiying an unsuspecting jogger by chasing him down. Me realizing once again why I was obsessed with cats when I was little (as shown on the left).
Event: FHE once again, playing Quidditch.Highlights: I lived up to my role as George Weasley and was a Beater, but I was missing you Fred, aka, Amy.

Event: All-Girl Camping Trip!!!
Highlights: Getting lost on our way to Springville-aka the next town over- for almost 2 hours! (so that wasn't really a highlight, it was actually more like a lowlight). Driving past a house that I swear was Rigiletto's. The little kids who woke us up at 6 in the morning- they were riding their bikes and screaming for no reason. Sleeping with 5 girls in a 2 man tent--nothing I haven't done before, but still quite the adventure.
Event: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince--Midnight ShowingHighlights: The cheesebomb romance scenes that killed me--let me just say that there were tears streaming down my face, so great. Waiting in line for hours while we all got more and more crazy.

Oh, and this is what happens when you are the shortest one in the group-- you are HUGE in the picture taken from below. Oh, and, Asian peace, all the way.

Ummm.....ya. We have friends, why, I don't really know but, we do.
Event: 3rd of July Long Weekend(love was in the air, evidenced by Mary and Becky's tender relationship)Highlights: Hiking. Yummo Salad. Farkle. Weird tan lines.
Highlights: Becky tripping on the completely level trail and totally destroying her leg. Snowball fight with random 9-year old boys. Me pretending to be Indiana Jones while I drove on the treacherous rocky road next to the cliff while Becky was spazzing in the back seat. Saying "You shall not pass!!!" approximately every 7 minutes.
I see this picture and a familiar tune comes to mind: "Savages, savages barely even human..."
This could easily be my favorite picture of all time. Obviously, Seth's been watching a little too much America's Next Top Model.
The inspiration for this pose was taken from one of my favorite movies, Heavyweights. Think Ben Stiller: "Come here you devil log!"

Event: Hiking, again.
Highlights: I went under the waterfall, and I took Becky with me.
Before-- a little hesistant

Ya, that's me... in the middle of the deluge!

The after-effects: My hair looks like a man's. Oh so lovely.

The posse.
Highlights: Our Signs headgear (a word from someone with experience: if you don't want your head to get sweaty, don't wear one of these babies for an extended period of time). Listening to Calling Occupants from Interplanetary Craft, by the Carpenters. Accidentally ripping my heel open on the couch--i don't really understand how it happened either. Making jello jigglers shaped like moons and stars--which is why my fingers are dyed red.
If you couldn't tell, it's been a pretty hoppin' past couple of months. We still have tons of stuff left on our list of things to do before summer ends; namely, Climbing Timp., going to Kranky Franks, Home of the Danger Dawg--who could resist a name like that?, having a mystery dinner, going tubing down the Provo river, and tons of others. We'll see how it goes!
